There are still heroes in America, and Alex Morgan is one of them. The 26-year-old star forward for the U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team TISI +%, Morgan was instrumental in this summer’s stunning World Cup victory. She’s also an Olympic gold medalist, a New York Times bestselling author and a formidable endorser who does commercials for Nike NKE +% and front the cover, with Lionel Messi, of the FIFA 16 videogame.
So what’s she doing at the Under 30 Summit? Start with something once-in-a-lifetime – she’ll be leading our attendees on our annual Rocky Run – a morning jog down the beautiful Ben Franklin Parkway and up the iconic steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, as the Temple University band plays the Rocky theme. Later that morning, she’ll talk to the summit about coming through under pressure – and the rewards of success.
Speaking of pressure and success, Sean Rad has experienced them both. The CEO and cofounder of mobile dating juggernaut Tinder ignited last year’s Under 30 conference when he unveiled Tinder’s money-making strategy – the very same day that he learned that parent company IAC was removing him Tinder’s CEO. But the boss has since bounced back—this August Rad, then Tinder’s chief of strategy, returned to the CEO chair to helm the company he created. The 29-year-old will be again taking the stage to share how he handled the turbulent year and explain where Tinder is headed next.
We’ll also feature another young tech superstar, John Collison, who makes money mobile. At just 25, the cofounder and president of Stripe powers mobile payments for the likes of Facebook, Pinterest and Twitter. He’s raised $300 million so far — and Stripe has a current valuation of $5 billion. He’ll join our all-star panel of unicorn founders.
